I promise I won’t be writing to you daily, but since I know a thing or two, I've been stirring myself to say something. Due to my integrity, I just wrote a post about tariffs on my other newsletter, and I had to share it here as well.

Yes, tariffs are once again the talk of the town. Yes, global leaders are playing chess with economies. But beneath all the noise, there’s a more profound truth we often forget: It’s all a grand illusion. A game. An ancient drama playing out with new actors and sharper lighting. What truly matters isn’t whether Trump outmaneuvers China or whether tariffs hit 104%. What matters is what Jesus taught us: total surrender. Empires have always played their part—Rome, Babylon, the British Crown, now the U.S. and China. The costumes change, the drama evolves, but the core is the same: external systems vying for control in a world where true power lies within.

As Jesus reminded Peter during the storm, the moment he took his eyes off the Divine and focused on the wind, he began to sink. That same teaching is more relevant than ever in this storm of tariffs, wars, and economic uncertainty. Our only true safety is in surrendering the illusion of control and placing full trust in the Divine within.

God’s economy isn’t measured in GDP or interest rates. It’s governed by love, surrender, alignment, and trust. The highest outcomes for our lives don’t hinge on trade policy but on how still we can remain when the waves crash around us. That’s where real wealth—peace, purpose, power—is found.
